Hi, I’m Shayne, the creator of Kerbbright.

I’ve always loved building things. Whether it’s woodworking, metal fabrication, CNC machining or 3D printing, I enjoy taking an idea and turning it into something practical that people genuinely appreciate.

Kerbbright began with a simple question:

Why is it still so difficult to find someone’s house at night?

Living in rural New Zealand, I saw how frustrating it could be for visitors, couriers and even emergency services trying to locate properties after dark. Existing illuminated number signs were often expensive, difficult to install, or simply weren’t designed for New Zealand conditions.

So I decided to build my own.

What started as a personal project quickly became an obsession. I spent countless hours designing, prototyping, testing and refining every part of the product—from the electronics and lighting to the weatherproof housing and installation system. Every design change had one goal: make it simple, reliable and built to last.

Today, every Kerbbright sign is custom-made to order in my workshop here in New Zealand. It’s not pulled from a warehouse shelf or mass-produced overseas. Each one is made specifically for your address and carefully assembled before it leaves my hands.

My goal is simple: create products that solve real problems, look great, and give customers something they’re proud to install on their home.
